"Ethnic Cleansing" and "Religious Persecution" are among two terms notoriously used in conjunction with the Middle-East, precisely Iraq.

Today, the country that once housed the largest non-Arab ~ Assyrian, Syriac, Chaldean and other ethnic groups continues to systematically destroy its Christian population, adding more insults to Christianity worldwide, while the government of Iraq continues to fail to provide safety and security for its people. The message is clearly falling on deaf ears!

Facing extermination and extinction, the majority of Iraq's "classic" Christian community has already fled to neighboring Syria, Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey since 2003, in what started as a United States "I.O.U." to "free" the Iraqi people from its then dictator Saddam Hussein, but what quickly steered into an invasion and division of the land, the allocation of power, and the destruction (uprooting, resettling and killing) of humanity.

Perhaps this would be a good time to hear from the "grief-stricken" non-Christians of the Middle-East. . . TAKE RESPONSIBILITY!

Finally, Iraq must come together!

Garik Khayidakh - We Must Unite

Chorus:
This is one of the reasons that we stated that we must unite,
So that none of us should burn in fire,
What sin have the young children done?
To suffer before the eyes of the adults.

Verse 1:
If we could all just agree to move on one word and heart,
Today we would have had a place in our country,
As Christians, we are continually martyred,
While our nations' representatives in debate.

How many martyrs do we have left to sacrifice?
We don't know, nor does anyone else,
Cause of this nation, it does not realize,
That the enemy is killing us, from infant and priest.

This is one of the reasons that we stated that we must unite,
So that none of us should burn in fire,
What sin have the young children done?
To suffer before the eyes of the adults.

Verse 2:
We believe in you, our Lord,
That you had sacrificed yourself for freedom,
Today in our country, terrorist are killing us,
You are our savior, guiding our lives.

O children of our nation, Let us become one in our heart,
So we stop the atrocity of our loved country,
The words of our Lord are being fulfilled,
Don't allow the devil, to bring is into temptation.

This is one of the reasons that we stated that we must unite,
So that none of us should burn in fire,
What sin have the young children done?
To suffer before the eyes of the adults.

Verse 3:
Whoever we chose, we did not allow them to satisfy us,
We put a stain on his tribe,
Foreigners caused fights between us,
Stealing our land while we were tired from fighting within ourselves.

They killed our prelates (bishops), they took our houses,
They entered our churches with weapons,
Until when our O' Lord, will be we be the innocent ones,
Crying out for help from other nationalities.
