Biography
Born in Qamishlo Syria in 1970, and in 1975 moved with his family to Lebanon as his father was working in Beirut , and enrolled at the “Taw Mim Simkat” High School, and there he learned to read and write in Syriac.

Because of the Lebanese Civil War the family was forced to immigrate to Germany in 1984. In Germany he continued his studies and graduated from University of Trade and Economics in 1996, and he now works in an international company as Compliance Manager.

Worked in Assyrian national field, and became a member of many organizations in Germany, including the Assyrian Beth-Nahrin culture and sport association in Wiesbaden, and his long membership in the Assyrian Democratic Organization.

From 1987 Abboud took part in regular activities, like festivals, lectures, meetings of the association in Wiesbaden. There he was responsible for several tasks (such as leader of youth group and university graduates group). Between 2000/2001 he was also elected as chairman of the Association. Since 2008 till 2012 he been the chairman of the Beth-Nahrin cultural Association in Wiesbaden.

Edited and published many articles in known Syriac magazines in Europe like, (Shrogo), (Shemsho) and (Funoyo) Magazines. Became interested in Assyrian music from an early age, and embarked in a project to collect all the known Assyrian Syriac music, and that work resulted in him publishing the first Assyrian Music Discography book, published in Germany in 2007. Titled (Assyrian Music Pearls, an Assyrian/Syriac Discography). Since then he has given many lectures on the history and heritage of Assyrian music in Germany and outside. In 2015 he released a second volume book titled (Modern Assyrian Music), continuing the work of the first volume and completing up-to that date, the discography work started in 2007.
He was twice a member of the judge committee of the Syriac Music Awards ceremony in Sweden and Switzerland. In 2016 a third book was published titled (Music Heritage of Mesopotamia) was written by young music affine AJM members, it covers our century old music heritage with the most significant songs and artist written in both German and English languages. Abboud produced in cooperation with SuroyoTV (a Sweden based Assyrian channel) in 2012/13 a 22 parts series where he introduce the chronology of modern Assyrian music to the viewers.

In 2019 he embarked on a new project outside the music field, and published a new book containing all the known writings of one of the founding fathers of modern Assyrian nationalism during the early 20th century: Naum Faiq, the book is titled Naum Faiq and Assyrian Awakening, published in Arabic but the book will be released in English and German soon.
