The song of Dalale, in the dialect of Bohtan,  is the story about the girl who was sacrificed by her father in law and buried in the structure of Zakho bridge, in today's northern Iraq. According to the legend, she was sacrificed to prevent the bridge from collapsing.
This  Dalale song s version is inspired by the documentary Path of faith about The Assyrians history of Georgia,Tifilis.

Lyrics translation in English: (short part)

Dalle, Dalle, Dalale, Dalale,
Dalle, Dalle, Dalale is wounded.

The bridge of Zakho is so lofty,
The bridge of Zakho is so lofty.

Make an excuse for me,
My son is in the cradle.

Your sister-in-law will suckle your son,
Your mother will bake your bread.
